Mission Statement & Profile

'To provide an outstanding collection of resources which we can all use to overcome the odds and create exceptional outcomes, financial freedom and wealth.'

Belton Bass

At University, Belton studied Real Estate Management. He started out with big plans to work his way up the ladder, learn the ropes and qualify as a commercial surveyor. Once working, it didn't take long for him to realize that the corporate world was not for him. Belton knew a 'job' wasn't going to give him the freedom he desired, however he always enjoyed the property world and decided to return to it later, and on his own terms.

Belton sees life is a continual journey of learning, personal development & expansion. He is now actively building a property portfolio in the UK and abroad.

He is a dedicated husband and father of two and is focused on maintaining balance in the areas of life which bring true prosperity.

Belton loves meeting people and has been fortunate enough to travel to many countries of the world. He also enjoys snowboarding, kickboxing and yoga and practices daily meditation for clear focus. Life is good.

Phil Harmer

After studying international politics and economic & social history at UEA, Phil left the UK to work in Japan for three years. On returning, he embarked on a career in music for tv & film, initially as an audio engineer at a major London recording studio, and later as a composer and producer. Since 2000 he has run his own music production company and recording studio with a colleague. His music has featured on productions as diverse as the BBC's 'One Show', 'Joey' and 'The Secret' DVD. He continues to earn a residual income from music royalties.

While working in the music industry he began to build up a buy-to-let property portfolio in SW London and decided to put music on the back burner and concentrate on investing.

Having met the other members of what was to become 'My Prosperity Guru' through a property mentorship programme, he was then invited by a friend to help run the new London office of a St Petersburg based international shipping & project logistics company. Always one to rise to the challenge, and partly out of curiosity, he accepted the offer on the proviso that he would still have time to concentrate on his investment and other business activities.

As if to prove the point that the more you increase your network, the more opportunities appear, he is now also involved in several projects with the rest of the Prosperity Guru team. Exciting times indeed.

Surina Mangat

After successfully investing in UK and overseas property, Surina set up an international property agency. She has the ability to connect investors with investments and has expanded her own portfolio into the commercial and residential markets. Her insight into the property market helps to instill other investors with confidence, enabling them to build successful portfolios. Surina's background in IT contracting has given her the ability to project manage, which is essential in her property business. The potential for diversity within the property industry continues to inspire her.

Surina is focused, business minded and very clear about the direction her life is heading. Being part of the 'Prosperity Guru' team is a natural progression in her goal to enrich and inspire others. Surina balances her work life by pursuing her creative passions including acting and dancing.

Ian J Rogers

Ian is a chartered surveyor, specializing in quantity surveying. He has been around the property industry all his life, as his father had a small building company in which Ian worked from an early age.

He spent many years working on large commercial property construction projects. More recently he has had a career in facilities management, particularly working on PFI contracts. He now runs his own consultancy practice alongside this venture.

Ian also has considerable experience with residential properties, having refurbished several of his own, including one which was a total gut, extend, rewire, re-plumb, re-roof and redecorate. He has also project managed the construction of a new scout headquarters for his local scout group. The budget for this was in excess of £300,000.

For 'relaxation' Ian designs and operates the lighting for large amateur theatrical productions. As well as developing properties, he also likes to develop himself, and is constantly reading and attending courses in order to explore new avenues and achieve his goals.

He has also run his own commercial finance broking business which constantly stayed ahead of the competition by designing new commercial loan products with major lenders.
